How I Cover Photo + Video:

I work with a professional hybrid camera that allows me to capture both high-quality still images and cinematic video footage. This ensures a consistent visual style throughout your proposal. For video sequences, my camera is mounted on a stabilizer (gimbal) to guarantee smooth, fluid motion while moving inside or outside the limousine. Switching between video and photo mode takes approximately 3 to 5 minutes, as it requires technical adjustments (settings, stabilization, exposure, framing, and audio configuration). For this reason, I cannot alternate instantly between both formats second by second.

However, everything is carefully planned in advance according to your timeline, so no important moment is missed. The key highlights of your proposal are strategically captured in the most suitable format — whether photo or video — to ensure a beautiful and complete final result.

How the session works — step by step

The Cinderella Carriage Route — What Happens at Each Stop

19:00
Place Vendôme — Departure

I arrive 15 minutes before the carriage. You and your partner arrive. I'm already positioned to capture the first reaction when she sees the carriage. If you've told her I'm part of the carriage service, I introduce myself naturally. If it's a surprise, I blend into the square as a passerby.

During the ride — I travel by metro

I don't ride in the carriage. I take the metro to the next stop while you enjoy the ride. I arrive before the carriage and am already in position when you pull up. You don't need to coordinate this — I know the route and the timing.

Petit Palais — Mid-route photos

Beautiful archival exterior with the carriage passing. I capture the carriage arriving, you inside, the street context. For the Photo+Video package, I'm recording from here onward.

Eiffel Tower — The proposal moment

Quai Jacques Chirac is the standard end point. I'm in position before the carriage arrives. For video: I stay within 1–2 metres during the proposal — please speak clearly for audio. Stand facing the Eiffel Tower so I can frame both of you and the monument. After the yes: we do a short re-enactment in front of the Tower for the photos, then continue toward the Seine for additional portraits.

Port de la Bourdonnais — Seine cruise departure (optional)

If you're boarding a Seine river cruise (Bateaux Parisiens docks 5 or 7, approximately 200 metres away), I follow you to the dock for a few final portraits before you board. This is included in the 1-hour session — no extra charge.

Please send 3 song titles with artist names before the shooting day. Example from recent clients: "Can't Help Falling in Love — Kina Grannis version", "A Thousand Years — Christina Perri", "Until I Found You — Stephen Sanchez". I use the main song as the film's primary track.
Champs-de-Mars stop:
If your carriage ends at Champs-de-Mars (behind the Tower) rather than Quai Jacques Chirac, coverage is equally good — I adapt to the exact stop. Just confirm the end point when you book.

How to Explain the photographer and videographer to Your Partner

Scenario A — Most popular · Best photos

"She's filming a souvenir video for the carriage"

Tell your partner that a professional photographer and videographer/videographer is included with the carriage booking — filming promotional or souvenir content. She knows there's a camera but doesn't know about the proposal.

Advantage: I can stay 1–2 metres away during the proposal. Faces fully visible, ring close-up possible, audio clear for video. The most cinematic results.

Natural reactions: She knows there's a camera but not why — her surprise is completely genuine.

Used by: Mani (February 2026), Sander (February 2026), and the majority of carriage clients.

Positioning tip: During the proposal, stand facing or slightly in profile, with the Eiffel Tower behind you. This allows me to frame both faces and the monument in one shot. Please speak clearly — I record audio within 1–2 metres.
Scenario B — Complete surprise

"She has no idea there's a photographer and videographer"

I blend into the surroundings at each location — a tourist photographing the scenery. Your partner has no knowledge of a camera until after the proposal.

Advantage: Total surprise — the most unguarded emotional reaction possible.

Constraint: I must stay 15–20 metres away with a telephoto lens. Ring close-up and face detail require more editing. Audio for video is not possible at this distance.

Recommended for: Photo only package. For Photo+Video, Scenario A is strongly preferred for audio quality.

Note: For the carriage route specifically, the confined spaces (inside carriage, Petit Palais stop) make Scenario A more practical for coverage quality. I recommend Scenario A for all carriage proposals.

Paris Proposal Photos — FAQ

No. I follow the route by metro and public transit, arriving at each location before the carriage. You don't need to coordinate my transport — I know the route and timing. There is no additional transport cost for the standard route Place Vendôme → Petit Palais → Eiffel Tower.
The most popular approach (used by Mani and Sander) is to tell your partner that a photographer is filming souvenir or promotional content for the carriage company. She knows there is a camera but not about the proposal — her reaction is completely genuine. This allows me to stay 1–2 metres away for the best coverage. A full surprise is also possible but limits how close I can stay.
The €250 photo package delivers 25 retouched HD photos from 3 locations within 48 hours. The €350 photo + video package delivers 15 retouched photos plus a 2–3 minute cinematic film with music within one week. With a single operator, video is captured during the proposal and carriage ride; photos are taken during the portrait session at the Eiffel Tower after the proposal.
Yes. If the captured footage is rich enough, the film often runs longer than 2–3 minutes. Some clients receive 4–5 minute films. The package guarantees a minimum of 2–3 minutes. Please send 3 song titles with artist names before the shooting day so editing can begin immediately.
Both end points work well. Please confirm the exact end location when booking — I adapt to the stop used by your carriage company. If you are heading to the Seine cruise afterwards, I follow you to the dock (about 200 metres from Quai Jacques Chirac) for a few final photos before boarding.
Yes. Additional photos cost €2.50 per photo, or €25 for a pack of 20 photos. You select your favourites via the private gallery after the first delivery. There is no obligation to purchase additional photos.
